Hi my name is Nina Wiskus and this is my first attempt at a blog so here it goes... A little about me: I am an florist and an artist, not a writer (and not a very good speller I will just put that out there to start as a disclaimer). I love flowers, peonies are my favorite! I am from a family of German artists, botanists, and florists, (oh and a geologist). So needless to say I like nature and love art and design. I am also working as an assistant teacher but my true love is flowers. So I started my own floral business called "Fresh La Fleur." My look is natural and different. I love anything from something with an artistic edge to simple and natural. I am recently married myself and had the best wedding experience! My husband Andrew is also my floral assistant. My hope as a florist is provide couples with that same beautiful, fun, and hassle free experience, and to bring to life their flower dreams. But even if you are not in the market for a wedding florist don't stop reading, we do gift arrangements, parties, prom corsages and boutonnieres, and anything else decorative. So stay tuned as I keep you posted on weddings, events, specials on gift bouquets, and other floral ventures. Also keep checking in as I will be posting "A Fresh Idea" once a month to give tips on fun flower decorating ideas.
